October Stroll- Saturday, October 11th, 2014

Cherokee will be hosting their 1st annual October Stroll in downtown Cherokee from 1-5 p.m.

There will be lots of different booths with food, games, & items to purchase.

CHEROKEE MAIN STREET WILL BE INCORPORATION THE TURNIP FESTIVAL WITH THE OCTOBER STROLL THIS YEAR!!  THE KIDS WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE TURNIP CARS & DECORATE TURNIPS SO COME CHECK IT OUT!!    

Schedule:

12:00 Vendor Placement meet with Main Street Staff, Turnip decoration starts, and 

Pedal pull / wheelbarrow race registration all takes place in parking lot S. of AEC on Main Street

1:00 Pedal Pull Races on Main in front of  AEC

2:00 Derby Race

OHCE Association Meeting- Tuesday, October 21st, 2014

Oklahoma Home & Community Education's Annual Banquet & Awards will be at the Alfalfa County Fairgrounds.  Registration will begin at 6:15 p.m. with meal starting at 6:30 p.m.

4-H Banquet & Merchant Open House- Sunday, November 2nd, 2014

Join our County 4-H groups as they present the community with a wonderful home cooked meal and honor those who have helped throughout the year!!  This event takes place at noon at the Alfalfa County Fairgrounds exhibit building!

Also join all the Cherokee Merchants as they will be open from 1-5 p.m. for you to start your Christmas shopping!! 

Farmerettes Housing Tour- Sunday, December 7th, 2014

Mark your calendars for this fun filled day of touring homes around the Cherokee area!!  More information to come!!

Tax free night wed Dec 3rd, 2014

Main Street Christmas Santa Store ~ Prize Giveaway ~ Lighted Christmas Parade- Saturday, December 20th, 2014 

1:00 to 3:00 P.M.

Please join Cherokee Main Street as we present our annual Santa Store at the Baker building in downtown Cherokee, it will be for kids 5th grade and under and will be from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Each child will have an opportunity to purchase a gift for their parents and siblings for .25 a piece!!  Santa Clause will also be attending for kids to take a picture with and tell him what they want for Christmas!!  We will be serving hot chocolate at the armory so send your kids there first!!  

  5:30 P.M.

Head out to the Southgate Shopping Center (in front of United) for our annual giveaway at 5:30 p.m.  We will be giving away gift cards, Christmas dinner baskets, & a grand prize to be announced soon!!  Be sure and start placing your name in merchants buckets coming in November!!

To round out the evening, park along Grand and watch the "Lighted Christmas Parade" go from United all the way down Grand to City Hall!!  If you are interested in entering the parade please contact Schaun at 580-596-6111.
